Wei Yin Wong
I started my working life as a reporter at an English daily called The Sun in Malaysia 16 years ago, writing health-related articles. After five years of churning out fitness, nutrition, childcare, disease management and parenting articles, I left the newspaper, taking up a job at a heathcare communication company. It didn't last very long and I switched to something rather different – website content writing. And I did that for nearly eight years.
Still, my love for writing things related to healthcare has not diminished. In my free time, I freelanced for several publications, notably Positive Parenting (self-explanatory), NADI (a diabetes management newsletter) and Runcit Malaysia (retail magazine) – all in Malaysia.
I'm now residing in Melbourne, Australia, with my husband and two young children. With two active kids in tow, my interest in childcare tips and tricks has increased tenfold! So I'm always reading up things to keep them occupied and amused. And while I'm at that, I constantly run into articles that are related to other aspects of parenthood and healthcare. That begs the question: Why not share the information I have with others? So here I am, doing my part in sharing what I've learnt with others.
